Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps across stores in the district, under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader. The DSP will support pharmacy teams and oversee operations to ensure safe and accurate dispensing and patient care.

This part-time role requires travel within a reasonable radius, regular attendance including nights and weekends, and a commitment to patient safety, immunizations, and compliant pharmacy

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living CVS Health values by helping to manage patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled and oversee pharmacy operations.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflows and safety guardrails.
• Assume Pharmacy Manager duties when the pharmacist-on-duty is the primary or only pharmacist.
• Coach the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and resolve insurance or medication issues.
