Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to support pharmacy teams across stores within the district. You will cover pharmacist shifts, supervise dispensing and immunization practices, and collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager and District Leader to Ensure safe, high-quality care for patients.

Travel within a reasonable radius is expected, and you will help manage inventory, assist with insurance/medication issues, and mentor other staff.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) required.
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as needed.
• Attend as a pharmacist-on-duty and cover scheduling gaps across stores.
• Supervise safe dispensing, counseling, and immunization practices.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager and District Leader with operations and staffing.
• Support patient care and resolve insurance or medication issues.
• Immunize patients where permissible and mentor Pharmacy Technicians.
• Maintain inventory control and protect cold chain products.
• Uphold company policies, safety, and inclusive workplace standards.
• Stay current with required trainings and CME opportunities.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
