Job summary

Virginia Oncology Associates is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support HR programs across multiple sites in Hampton Roads and Eastern North Carolina. The role requires travel to various locations and is based in Harbourview, Suffolk, VA, with in-person work.

Responsibilities include onboarding, policy guidance, employee relations, leave administration, compensation support, and training. A BS/BA in HR or related field is required with at least 3 years of HR experience; PHR/SPHR is

Qualifications

BS/BA in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of HR experience.
PHR or SPHR preferred.
Thorough knowledge of HR federal and state laws.
Ability to travel to multiple sites as required.

Responsibilities

Conduct onboarding for new employees.
Provide consultation on HR management issues including staffing, employee relations, performance management, policy compliance, and guidance on policies and procedures.
Investigate employee relations issues and recommend resolutions.
Coordinate with HR specialists to troubleshoot issues and implement approved plans.
Assist management with job descriptions, requisition process, eCOS, and salary administration.
Conduct exit interviews, summarize findings, and manage engagement surveys; facilitate follow-up actions.
