Job summary
Compassus is seeking a Traveling Registered Nurse to support our home hospice teams across diverse locations. You will travel extensively for 8–13 week assignments and may work from your home program when not on assignment.
The RN provides routine and emergency assessments, educates patients and caregivers, and coordinates care to meet patient and family comfort needs. Flexibility and travel readiness are essential.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Minimum of one year of nursing practice; home health, hospice, oncology or long-term care preferred.
- Active RN license in state(s) of employment with ability to obtain other state licenses as needed.
Responsibilities
- Travel to assigned programs based on need for 8–13 week assignments.
- Admit patients and perform routine and emergency assessments.
- May act as a preceptor to onboard new team members.
- Meet productivity standards and be available for visits during regular hours.
- Coordinate clinical care with PT, OT, MSW, and HHA per care plan.
- Document bedside observations, treatments, and pertinent information.
- Collaborate with Hospice IDT and Medical Director to alleviate symptoms and monitor responses.
