Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Traveling Registered Nurse to support multiple home-based programs. The role requires RN licensure, a willingness to travel, and the ability to perform routine and emergency assessments, educate patients and caregivers, and coordinate care across disciplines.

The ideal candidate has nursing experience in home health, hospice, oncology, or long-term care, with flexibility to work 8–13 week assignments and adapt to varying program needs.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum of one year of nursing practice preferred.
• Home Health, hospice, oncology, and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travels to the assigned program based on need where there is a vacant position or increased census.
• Admits patients and performs routine and emergency assessments.
• Educates patients and caregivers regarding care and disease processes.
• Coordinates care with PT, OT, MSW, and HHA as per Plan of Care.
• Documents bedside observations and treatments.
• Supervises LPNs and HHAs.
