Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Traveling Registered Nurse who will model the Compassus values and promote the six Pillars of Success. The role involves extensive travel across locations with 8–13 week assignments, providing routine and emergency patient assessments, education for patients and caregivers, and comprehensive care coordination to ensure comfort and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Minimum of one year nursing practice or equivalent experience preferred.
• Home health, hospice, oncology, and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned programs and sites as needed (8–13 weeks per assignment).
• Admit patients and perform routine and emergency assessments.
• Onboard and train new team members as needed.
• Meet productivity standards and be available for visits during regular hours.
• Coordinate care with PT/OT/MSW/HHA and plan of care through case management.
• Document observations and treatments at the bedside.
• Communicate with IDT, Medical Director, and Attending Physician regarding symptom management.
