Job summary

CRH in Mississippi is seeking a Traveling Heavy Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment in open pit mining, including dozer, track hoe, front-end loader and haul truck. Must be ready to travel up to 75% of duties.

Candidates should have 2–5 years loader operations experience, prior construction field work, and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings and I-9 documentation; prior training of others is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two to Five years’ loader operations experience preferred.
• Previous related experience in the construction field and/or training.
• Ability to provide valid I-9 documentation and pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work outdoors in varying environments.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment in pit/mining operations.
• Report problems to supervisor and maintain safe work environment.
• Follow Foreman directions and daily project/task expectations.
• Perform daily pre–and–post inspections and documentation.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Perform general labor duties as required.
