FiberTel, LLC, a fully owned subsidiary of Quanta Services, seeks a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic for its Sacramento, CA location. The role involves traveling to California job sites to diagnose and repair heavy equipment and fleet trucks, including skid steers, excavators, dozers, and more.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of heavy equipment experience, diesel repair, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics; must be able to travel 60% out of state, hold a Diesel Mechanic Certification, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in heavy equipment mechanic work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude across engines, hydraulics, electrical systems.
• Ability to manage a schedule and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipment.
• Travel to job sites around California.
• Perform engine repairs and maintenance.
• Perform safety inspections.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair transmission systems.
• Make necessary repairs to hydraulic and air brakes.
• Repair and maintain HVAC systems.
• Make electrical repairs.
• Perform oil changes as needed.
