Job summary

Flare Construction, LLC, a Quanta Services Company, seeks an experienced Fleet and Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support projects primarily in Utah and surrounding states. You will travel extensively, service a range of heavy equipment, and work from a field service truck or at a local shop when not traveling.

This role requires 3+ years of experience, the ability to diagnose complex diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and willingness to work long hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience on fleet vehicles and/or heavy construction equipment.
• Experience performing independent field service and mobile repairs.
• Diagnose diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions and electrical systems.
• Own set of industry-standard mechanic tools; willingness to travel.
• Willingness to work extra hours and weekends as needed.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and a current DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform and oversee preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and cooling systems.
• Respond to field repair calls and perform on-site repairs.
• Maintain service records and logs; assist with parts procurement.
• Comply with safety policies and environmental regulations.
