Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Traveling Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead large-scale civil construction projects across the Midwest and beyond. This role demands strong leadership, meticulous planning, and a bias for safe, profitable delivery.

The position is travel-heavy, with up to 100% travel across the US, and is permanent/direct-hire. You will oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while coordinating with field leadership and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within heavy civil construction or a closely related environment.
• Experience working for a large civil contractor or managing comparable large-scale civil projects.
• Strong experience with mass excavation/earthmoving and/or wet utilities.
• Experience managing self-performed construction work.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, cost controls, subcontractors, and profitability.

• Manage large, complex heavy civil projects or multiple concurrent projects.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, cost controls, subcontractors, and field coordination.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure safe, profitable, and timely project execution.
