Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Traveling Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead large-scale civil construction projects across the Midwest and beyond. This role demands strong leadership, meticulous planning, and a bias for safe, profitable delivery.

The position is travel-heavy, with up to 100% travel across the US, and is permanent/direct-hire. You will oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while coordinating with field leadership and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within heavy civil construction or a closely related environment.
• Experience working for a large civil contractor or managing comparable large-scale civil projects.
• Strong experience with mass excavation/earthmoving and/or wet utilities.
• Experience managing self-performed construction work.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, cost controls, subcontractors, and profitability.

This individual will be responsible for managing large, complex heavy civil projects or multiple concurrent projects while ensuring safe, profitable, and timely project execution. The Project Manager will oversee project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, field coordination, client relationships, and overall project performance. This individual will work closely with field leadership and internal teams to successfully deliver large civil construction projects throughout the Midwest and potentially nationwide.
