gpac is seeking an experienced Project Manager for heavy civil construction across the Midwest. You’ll lead projects from award through completion, coordinating with field teams and stakeholders to drive performance and profitability.

Travel and overnight stays are required based on project locations. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in PM or estimating, strong reading of plans, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control, plus CDL and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of PM and/or estimating experience in heavy civil or highway construction.
• Experience with earthmoving, underground utilities, demolition, grading, or site development.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work extended hours when project demands require.

Responsabilités

• Manage multiple heavy civil construction projects from award through completion.
• Assist with estimating, bid preparation, quantity takeoffs, and project planning.
• Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
• Review construction plans and specifications to identify project requirements and potential challenges.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase requests, and project documentation.
• Monitor job costs, labor, equipment utilization, and overall project profitability.
• Coordinate daily with superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and customers.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting project cost, quality, safety, or schedule.
• Provide regular project updates and reports to company leadership.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure projects meet established expectations.
