Allina Health is seeking a skilled painter to join our Facilities Support Services in Cottage Grove, MN. The role involves interior and exterior decorating, wall coverings, staining, varnishing, and refinishing of equipment, with travel to various clinic sites around the Twin Cities on a project basis.

This 1.0 FTE position offers 10-hour day/evening/night shifts and occasional weekends. A minimum of two years painting experience and a high school diploma are required, plus a valid driver's

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description.
• 2+ years of painting experience, including preparation, application, and care of equipment (hospital setting preferred).
• Valid driver's license required; MN/WI residents must obtain license in state of residence within 60 days if working in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surfaces for painting, including drywall taping, patching, sanding, and protecting surrounding areas.
• Paints, repairs and maintains surfaces using latex oil-based paints, epoxy, varnish, and lacquer finishes.
• Stains doors and millwork; uses brushes, rollers, spray equipment to complete jobs.
• Performs preventive and routine maintenance; hangs wall coverings (plastic, vinyl or fabric).
• Keeps shop and equipment clean; maintains supplies; performs other duties as assigned.
