Job summary

Allina Health in Cottage Grove, MN, is seeking a skilled Painter to perform interior and exterior decorating, wall coverings, staining and refinishing of equipment. This 1.0 FTE role involves 10-hour shifts across day/evening/night and occasional weekends, with travel to Clinic Sites in the Twin Cities region on a project basis.

Responsibilities include surface prep, drywall patching, finishing walls, staining millwork, and using various spray tools.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience to meet required competencies.
• 2+ years of painting experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; Journeyman Painter training in a trade union.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting and patching/drywall repair.
• Apply wall finishes to all types of wall surfaces to achieve uniform texture and appearance.
• Stain doors and millwork to ensure final finish without drips or defects.
• Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and compressors to complete painting jobs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and general maintenance duties as assigned.
