Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced traveling Superintendent to lead large-scale, multi-million-dollar healthcare construction projects. The role is based in Nashville but involves frequent travel to projects outside Tennessee.

You will partner with Estimating, Division Management and Project Management to supervise and coordinate project activities, ensure safety compliance, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction experience.
• Healthcare construction experience required.
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication to top management, owners, subcontractors, and other outside entities.
• Ability to travel frequently by car and air across the United States; work out of town for significant periods.

Responsibilities

• Advocates safety as number one priority on the jobsite and enforces safety plans and policies.
• Supervise, direct, and coordinate management of construction projects with owner, designers, and subcontractors.
• Develops and implements production plans with budget goals.
• Assists Project Manager in preparing project status reports.
• Responsible for daily, progress, compliance, and logs reports.
• Oversees review of plans and drawings and coordination of shop drawings.
• Procures tools and materials needed for the project.
• Determines staffing levels and timing considering methods and tool availability.
• Recruits, hires and directs onsite field personnel per HR policies.
• Prepares payroll documentation and HR/Payroll compliance.
• Resolves complaints with HR/Legal assistance.
• Collaborates with engineers, architects, subcontractors, inspectors to resolve issues.
• Ensures schedules are adhered to by staffing and procurement.
• Supervises subcontractors and enforces contract terms.
• Follows and enforces company policies; coordinates regulatory inspections.
