North Sky Communications is seeking a Traveling HDD Drill Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and field repairs on HDD rigs, mud systems, and associated fleet across the Pacific Northwest.

The role requires 3+ years in heavy equipment repair, willingness to travel 70–100%, and a valid CDL A/B. You’ll diagnose hydraulic/electrical issues and execute routine service, contributing to safe, efficient drilling operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical repair experience on HDD drill rigs or heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and diagnose hydraulic/electric systems.
• Valid Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B often preferred).
• Willingness to travel 70–100% across multi-state regions.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues on HDD rigs and related equipment.
• Travel to project sites for emergency field repairs and routine service overhauls.
• Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot systems.
