Job summary

Drill-Tech, headquartered in Chester, MD, seeks a Mobile HDD Equipment Mechanic to maintain HDD and support equipment across the Mid-Atlantic region. The role covers field and shop work, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting of hydraulic, diesel, electrical, and mechanical systems, and repairs to minimize downtime.

The successful candidate will service a diverse fleet including Vermeer HDD rigs, heavy trucks, trailers, and support equipment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy equipment or diesel mechanic experience.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, diesel, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HDD and support equipment in field and shop.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on fleet.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, diesel, electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
• Perform emergency field repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records and coordinate with field leadership.
• Travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic to support active projects.
