Job summary

Major Drilling America, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a Mechanic to support our shop and field operations. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain drilling rigs, vehicles, and related equipment, with travel to job sites as needed.

The role requires safety compliance, a valid driver's license (CDL preferred), and the ability to work independently in varying weather and remote mine environments. Previous welding, hydraulic, gas and diesel experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused with MSHA/OSHA compliance
• CDL preferred
• Experience in maintenance of drilling rigs and support equipment
• Ability to travel to field locations as required
• Strong record-keeping for repairs and costs

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, assess, and repair mechanical systems on drilling rigs, vehicles and equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in shop and field settings
• Prepare parts lists and time estimates for repairs
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and cost documentation
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies
• Assist with other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager
