Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Traveling Field Services Technician I to join our safety‑minded team. This role will be active in the field performing tasks related to hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

This travel position (60–80%) covers work across the United States, with paid training and travel expenses covered. The hourly range is $20.00 to $25.00, and full benefits and on‑call emergency response are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in asbestos abatement and/or mold remediation.
• Strong understanding of asbestos abatement procedures and safety regulations.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Emergency on-call requirement with possible long shifts; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Background check, drug test, and physical required by position.
• Facial hair standards per OSHA respiratory protection when required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and various hand tools.
• Wear and use PPE properly including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Perform field sampling activities and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders and scaffolding; work from trucks, tanks, and containers.
• Be on-call for emergency response on rotating basis; assist in site remediation and waste handling.
