Role Summary

The General Superintendent develops and executes project plans, overseeing all aspects of complex projects. Responsibilities include managing teams, planning construction sequences, and ensuring project goals align with JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values. This role requires travel and full-time site presence at assigned projects across the U.S.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

• Lead safety culture, promote injury-free environment, investigate incidents, and retrain staff as needed.
• Manage subcontractors and organize overall job workflow.
• Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs like Safety, Quality, EEO on projects.
• Develop work plans, coordinate project site activities, lead meetings, and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Communicate with stakeholders, maintain documentation, and ensure quality standards.
• Support project closeouts, participate in project pursuits, and lead talent recruitment and diversity initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

• Manage large, complex projects from planning to completion, oversee multiple projects, and lead strategic initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, project management software, and construction technology.
• Deep knowledge of construction processes, trades, self-perform work, and budget management.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu.
• 12+ years construction experience, including 10+ years field supervision; experience with Lean principles and high-tech projects is a plus.
