JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals.

Role Summary

The General Superintendent will develop and execute the project plan and oversee all aspects of assigned projects with significant complexity. This role manages the team, plans construction sequencing, and ensures project goals are met, supporting JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

This role requires travel and full-time on-site presence for projects across the United States.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

• Lead safety culture, demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment, investigate incidents, and retrain staff as needed.
• Manage subcontractors and organize overall job workflow.
• Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs like Safety, Quality, and EEO.
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate project site care, custody, and control.
• Lead meetings including daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
• Participate in project progress and OAC meetings.
• Manage project schedule and budget, and communicate key information to stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation and logs.
• Approve cost reports, track progress, and manage material and equipment needs.
• Support procurement processes and assist in selecting tools and equipment.
• Manage timecard approvals, ensure quality compliance, and support project closeouts.
• Contribute to project pursuit and pre-planning processes.
• Partner with leadership for staffing, schedule, and cost management.
• Participate in negotiations, project reviews, and buyout meetings.
• Identify and recruit top talent, promote diversity and inclusion.

Additional Responsibilities

Manage large, complex projects from planning to completion, oversee multiple projects, lead strategic initiatives, develop training content, and effectively communicate leadership messages.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Perform work accurately, efficiently, and timely.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, project management, scheduling software, and construction technology.
• Deep knowledge of construction processes, trades, self-perform work, and labor productivity.
• Ability to manage budgets, build relationships, and understand project documentation and layout skills.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 12+ years construction experience, including 10+ years in field supervision.
• Experience with Lean principles and high-tech projects preferred.

Working Environment

• Valid driver's license required.
