Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) for a part-time position with varying days and shifts based on department needs. The role requires travel to Inova FACT locations and occasional holidays.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree; if ADN, BSN plan within 5 years
• Experience: 6 months of RN experience
• Certification: BLS for Healthcare Providers; Virginia RN licensure or multi-state license

Responsibilities

• Utilizes standards and pathways for care delivery with the healthcare team.
• Provides holistic, patient- and family-centered care.
• Responds to subpoenas in sexual assault cases.
• Participates in research projects and lectures for staff and law enforcement.
• Develops and adheres to sexual assault policies and guidelines.
• Supports patients and families through care continuum.
• Validates clinical decisions with colleagues.
• Works collaboratively with other disciplines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
