Job summary

Summit Fire & Security seeks a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service and repair extinguishers, suppression and detection systems with minimal supervision. The role requires travel 90% of the time and adherence to safety policies, documentation, and customer communication.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years in fire life safety, and proficiency with basic computer tasks. State certification is preferred, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• 2 years of professional computer skills.
• 2 Fire Life Safety industry experience, specifically in fire suppression.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service and/or repair fire extinguishers, pre-engineered suppression systems, and/or detection & control systems.
• Troubleshoot and identify defective components in suppression systems.
• Communicate with customers in a professional manner and complete documentation on work orders.
