Job summary

Blueprint Automation is seeking a Field Service Technician based out of South Chesterfield, VA. The role requires 100% travel, with day trips, overnights, and extended trips, and may involve overtime and various shift patterns based on customer needs.

Responsibilities include installing packages at customer sites, troubleshooting equipment, and educating customers on operation and maintenance. Strong PLC/servo and mechanical/electrical skills are essential, with travel nationwide and possibly

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of field service experience or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• PLC/servo experience required.
• Vision-guided robot experience desirable.
• Motion control experience required.
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s license and ability to travel domestically and internationally with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist customer personnel in installing our machines at the site.
• Resolve technical problems and answer customer queries.
• Educate customers on operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Modify PLC programs, HMI screens, and multi-axis robots.
• Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot packaging equipment.
• Document activities in daily reports.
• Suggest improvements to improve reliability and efficiency.
