Job summary

ACS Group is seeking an Experienced Field Service Technician to travel up to 75% for troubleshooting and repair of plastics processing equipment at customer sites. You will work with electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and ERP/MRP systems to ensure safe and timely service.

The role requires associate degree or 2+ years’ experience, valid license, ability to obtain passport, and proficiency with Outlook/Excel/Word.

Qualifications

Associate degree and/or 2+ years’ experience installing and servicing complex machinery.
Must understand ACS/customer policy/procedure, and OSHA/EPA requirements.
Frequent air/auto travel with minimal notice is required.
Must have current and valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Must have passport or be able to obtain passport when required.
Understanding of OSHA requirements.
Able to use basic hand tools, electrical meters, and electrical devices for repairs.
Experience with Windows-based programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Avante and BPCS) is a plus.
Self-driven, professional and organized; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Full understanding of material handling equipment, including electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Collect and record service information clearly and completely.
Work must be performed safely with high workmanship standards.
Support department goals by assisting customers with professional service and parts.
Maintain stocking levels and properly store tools; identify unsafe or potential issues.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
Generate quoted business to meet monthly goals.
Control costs when working with expenses.
Other duties as assigned.
