Job summary

ACS Group is a privately held company designing and manufacturing lines of auxiliary products for plastics processing. Manufacturing facilities are in New Berlin, Wisconsin and Wabash, Indiana. The role focuses on installing and servicing industrial HVAC units, collecting service data, and supporting customers with professional field service and parts.

You will operate with strong safety practices, use electrical meters, and collaborate with ERP/MRP tools to meet service goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or certifiable training required with 2+ years of HVAC installation/repair experience.
• Must understand OSHA and EPA requirements and safety protocols.
• Experience with plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical components is preferred.
• Driver’s license with good record; passport may be required for assignments.

Responsibilities

• Install and service HVAC units and related equipment on customer sites.
• Collect and organize service reports, field feedback, expense reports and quotes.
• Provide technical support by phone and in-house to customers and parts teams.
• Maintain safe, quality workmanship and proper stocking of tools and materials.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams; identify safety or operational issues.
• Complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.

ACS Group is a privately held company that designs and manufactures comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics processing industry. ACS Group maintains an expansive product line, which includes size reduction equipment (granulators and shredders), material conveying equipment, metering and blending devices, heat exchangers (mold temperature control units and chillers), drying systems, and presses. These products are marketed under such recognizable brand names as AEC, Sterling, Cumberland, Wabash and Carver.
Manufacturing facilities are located in New Berlin, Wisconsin and Wabash, Indiana with a third facility located Suzhou,China to handle the needs of the Asian market.

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Full understanding of Chiller equipment, which includes electrical schematics, mechanical piping/install drawing and unit operation
• Candidate must be experienced with installing/servicing industrial HVAC units on the roofs of buildings
• Collect and record all information. This information must be complete, clear and organized. This includes, but not limited to service reports, field feedback, expense reports, time sheets and any quote request.
• Work must be completed in a safe manner the first time with quality workmanship
• Support the goals of the department by assisting customers with professional service, technician phone support, parts and production/in-house work
• Must be able to control proper stocking levels, personal and company issued tools in operation order and make sure that any unsafe or potential issues are identified
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Generate quoted business to meet monthly goals
• Control cost when working with expenses
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Technicians must have a full understanding of any ACS, customer policy/procedure; local and federal guidelines that are needed to fulfill the requirements to complete the assignment. This includes, but is not limited to lockout/tag out procedures, OSHA and EPA requirements
• Associate’s Degree or certifiable training program and/or 2+ years of experience installing and repairing HVAC units
• Experience with plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical components
• Must have current and valid driver's license with good driving record
• Must have passport, or be able to obtain passport when required
• Understanding of OSHA and EPA requirements
• Able to use basic hand tools, electrical meters (AC, DC, amps, ohm, voltage) and electrical devices required for repairs
• Must have full understanding of Windows-based programs such as Outlook, Excel and Word
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (such as Avante and BPCS) is a plus
• Knowledge to download/upload PLC software from computers, e-proms or flashcards
• Must be professional, self-driven and organized
• Must be able to work independently without much supervision
