Job summary

GEA Group in the United States is seeking an experienced field service technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, service, and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems at customer sites. You will travel up to 75% and occasionally work weekends to meet project deadlines.

You will read schematics and manuals, document service reports, train customers, and maintain accurate records while upholding strict safety and quality standards in a fast-paced, client-facing role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years working with mechanical equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and to work up to 12 hours.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with hand tools and measurement devices.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with electrical (AC/DC) and millwright trades is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to perform preventive maintenance and emergency service.
• Install, commission, troubleshoot, service, and repair GEA and third-party equipment.
• Provide customer training and ensure satisfaction with high service levels.
• Document service reports accurately and timely.
• Maintain safety standards and adhere to GEA SOPs and deadlines.
• Support service sales with leads and customer relationship management.
