Job summary

Faith Technologies in Chicago is seeking a Field Service Representative - Power Distribution to install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and service customer electrical equipment on site. You will develop and document test results and training, and assist customers with operation and maintenance.

The role requires an electrical apprenticeship or a EE degree, military electrical experience, and strong English communication. Travel up to 50% is expected, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Completion of electrical apprenticeship (8,000 hours) or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in military roles: Navy Nuclear Electronic Technicians or Electrician's Mate.
• Electrical start-up and testing experience including: circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, and capacitor banks.
• The ability to effectively communicate in the English language.
• Travel: 50%.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to Field Services small projects coordination and execution on customer site (end of life, modernization, upgrade, etc.).
• Provides support to Level 2 and Level 3 FSRs as it pertains to removal of electrical equipment.
• Interprets blueprints and other service documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
• Performs basic audits of customer's electrical systems and equipment.
• Documents all required information for each site (technical report).
• Communicates with Project Coordinator to ensure smooth execution.
• Properly documents, labels, and returns all defective parts utilized in the repair of equipment to the designated disposal/repair location.
