Job summary

Pace Transportation seeks a Mobile Foreman to lead our Mobile Mechanic team across local client sites, ensuring high-quality repairs, safety, and efficient workflows. You will oversee repair orders, mentor technicians, and coordinate with parts to keep jobs moving. Some after-hours/on-call work and travel are required.

The role requires hands-on knowledge of diagnostic tools, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety standards while guiding a team through diverse trailer maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of equipment/trailer/automotive repair experience preferred.
• Vocational or related post-secondary training preferred.
• Trailer body/welding experience preferred.
• Previous supervisor experience preferred.
• Ability to learn product knowledge quickly and apply it to customer interactions.
• Familiarity with heavy duty truck systems, diesel engines, trailers and common brands.
• Familiarity with POS or inventory systems (Karmak or similar).
• Basic computer skills (email, desktop navigation).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with solid problem-solving and customer-focused approach.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs to ensure repair orders are understood and signed off before work starts.
• Mentor and assist the team to ensure work aligns with repair orders.
• Ensure availability of required parts; coordinate with the parts team.
• Recommend repair modifications for orders to management.
• Keep repair orders updated in the ERP system throughout the job life cycle.
• Conduct random quality inspections to ensure safe, accurate repairs.
• Follow SOPs and maintain proper documentation and paperwork.
• Monitor resource utilization and communicate corrective actions to management.
• Validate materials and hours recorded on each repair order.
