Job summary

Johnson Service Group, Inc. (JSG) is seeking a Field Service Engineer to be located in the Orlando, FL area with extensive North American travel.

The role involves hands-on work with state-of-the-art equipment, performing system startups, troubleshooting, and delivering operator training. Ideal candidates have a mechanical/electrical background, PLC/automation experience, and strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Experience with PLCs and automation systems is highly advantageous.
Proficiency with piping, valves, pumps and programmable controllers is required.
Strong organizational, documentation, and writing skills are essential.
Valid passport for international travel and ability to travel ~70% of the time.

Responsibilities

Lead field startup, troubleshooting, and performance testing across North America.
Provide operator training and develop standard operating procedures.
Collaborate with teams to implement controls and PLC/HMI programming improvements.
Document activities and maintain accurate records for projects.
