Job summary

ProAutomated in the United States is hiring a field engineer who thrives on travel and hands-on work. You will join a small team that partners with system integrators and manufacturers to keep automation projects moving, performing on-site checks and startup activities.

The role includes four-week paid training, travel rotations, and opportunities for growth. You must have a technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience and be within 50 miles of a major airport.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
• 3+ years of related field experience.
• Willingness to travel and be away from home on rotation.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Live within 50 miles of a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups with on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation and controls engineers to test and validate systems on-site.
• Provide clear updates to customers and project teams to keep progress on track.
• Travel rotations follow a days-on, off schedule (e.g., 5 on/2 off, 10 on/4 off, 14 on/7 off).
• Work with various customers and stay connected with ProAutomated team.
