Job summary

ProAutomated Inc is seeking engineers for a travel-oriented role across North America. You’ll support data center startups with on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, lead startup tests, and collaborate with controls engineers to ensure systems work flawlessly.

You will travel on rotations and communicate progress to customers and project teams while receiving training and growth opportunities in a dynamic field service environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a technical degree or 3+ years hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communications networking is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and be away from home on rotation for North America projects.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups with on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Collaborate with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on-site.
• Provide clear updates to customers and project teams to keep progress accurate.
• Follow travel rotations such as 5 on–2 off, 10 on–4 off, or 14 on–7 off; adapt as projects change.
