Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Field Mechanic to perform repair and maintenance on heavy on-road and off-road equipment used in the utility sector. The role requires diagnosing engine, hydraulic, electrical, and drive-train systems, often at customer sites and sometimes traveling to other states.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of hands-on experience, own basic tools, and the ability to obtain a class A CDL within 90 days.

Qualifications

2+ years experience in heavy on-road/off-road equipment repair.
Ability to perform rigorous physical labor.
Must obtain Class A CDL within 90 days.
Own basic tools required for equipment repairs.
Proficient in hydraulics, diesel/gas engines, steering, drive train, HVAC, welding/metal fabrication, air/hydraulic brakes, electrical systems.
Familiar with diagnostics, parts inventory, work orders, and telematics.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintenance of heavy equipment used in the utility industry.
Work safely on job sites in various weather conditions.
Troubleshoot/diagnose equipment breakdowns and perform timely repairs.
Learn and follow safe work practices for equipment setup and grounding near energized systems.
Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good condition.
Perform additional related duties as required.
