Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Field Mechanic to repair and maintain heavy on-road/off-road equipment used to service the utility industry.

The role requires experience in engine diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical systems and may involve travel to other states based on customer needs. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience, be able to obtain a class A CDL within 90 days, and be capable of lifting 50 lbs or more.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of experience in heavy on-road/off-road equipment repair.
• Must have or be able to obtain a class A CDL permit/license within the first 90 days of employment.
• Must have own basic tools required to perform equipment repairs.
• Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain heavy on-road/off-road equipment used in the utility industry.
• Troubleshoot/diagnose equipment breakdowns in a timely, safe manner.
• Work safely on job sites in various weather conditions.
• Learn and follow safe work practices for equipment setup and grounding near energized systems.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.
• Perform related duties as required to complete the job.
