Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Field Mechanic to support multiple locations; travel to other states may be required to meet customer needs.

You will handle 70-100 pieces of equipment per region, perform repairs and preventive maintenance in various weather, and contribute to safe operation around high voltage systems. Candidates should have mechanics experience, own tools, and be prepared to obtain a CDL within 60 days.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience.
• Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Experience or schooling in mechanics.
• CDL license required or obtainable within 60 days.
• Must have personal general tools.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Must be able to work outside in inclement weather.
• Learn hydraulics, diesel/gas engines, chassis, welding, and small tool repair.
• Must know basics of diagnostics, inventory, and work orders using a computer.
• Certifications such as ASE or Ford/International are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy equipment across regions, cities and states.
• Maintain 70-100 pieces of equipment per region.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on job sites.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems across localities.
• Work around energized high voltage systems safely.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Handle additional duties as needed to complete the job.
