Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. seeks a Field Mechanic to service heavy on-road and off-road equipment across multiple sites. You will diagnose engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and travel to customer locations as needed.

Candidates must have 2+ years of repair experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, obtain a class A CDL within 90 days, bring own basic tools, and work in diverse weather with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of experience in heavy on/off-road equipment repair.
• Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Must have or obtain a class A CDL within 90 days.
• Must have own basic tools for equipment repairs.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice and work off-hours.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of heavy on road/off road equipment for the utility industry.
• Troubleshoot/diagnose equipment breakdowns and repair as needed.
• Learn safe work practices for equipment setup and grounding near energized systems.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.
• Work in various locations and weather conditions; perform related duties as required.
