Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. seeks a Construction Inspector II to travel across the U.S. on critical infrastructure projects, documenting field work and coordinating with multiple teams.

You will observe, monitor, and report on construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specs and safety policies, while supporting QA/QC and on-site issue resolution.

Expect extensive travel, evenings and weekends, and collaboration with owners, management, and contractors to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I is mandatory.
• Two-year technical degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with construction inspection and field testing is expected.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Observe construction per project specs (pavement, bridges, pipes, etc.).
• Track and report progress and status of projects.
• Coordinate with owners, management, contractors, and engineers.
• Maintain safety and QA/QC programs.
• Update as-built drawings and support change orders.
