Job summary

4LEAF, Inc. is seeking qualified building inspectors II or III in Washington. Candidates must be certified to perform technical building inspections to enforce compliance with building codes, regulations, and ordinances.

Five years of industry experience is preferred, with certifications through ICC and IAPMO; NFPA certifications are highly desired. Responsibilities include inspecting new and existing buildings, communicating complex findings, and ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• ICC Certification(s) demonstrating knowledge of building construction codes and ordinances.
• Understanding of safety standards, testing procedures and methods of construction.
• Good reading and interpretation of building codes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect new, added, and altered buildings for compliance with current code editions.
• Explain complex building issues to the public, contractors, designers and owners.
• Identify and solve complex problems by consulting with developers, engineers and others about code requirements.
• Prepare clear correction notices and inspection reports.
