Job summary

4LEAF, Inc. is seeking qualified building inspectors to perform technical inspections across Merced, Stanislaus, and San Joaquin Counties in California. Three to five years of experience is preferred, with ICC, DSA, OSHPD certifications; CASp certifications are highly desired.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Building Inspector.
• Certification through ICC, DSA, OSHPD; CASp certification is highly desired.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws, codes and ordinances relating to building construction.
• Understanding of safety standards, testing procedures and methods of construction.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans and codes; good judgement in enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Inspect new buildings, additions and alterations for code compliance.
• Explain complex building issues to the public, contractors, designers and owners.
• Identify and solve building code problems by consulting with developers and professionals.
• Field questions regarding building requirements.
• Prepare correction notices and inspection reports with clear findings.
