Job summary

LINX is hiring Fiber Technicians for a 100% travel role across the United States. You will splice, test, and install fiber infrastructure on enterprise and hyperscale builds, training on ribbon and single fiber fusion splicing, inspection scopes, and Visual Fault Locators.

The position offers travel across the country with a structured fiber career path and comprehensive benefits. Prior fiber experience and a valid driver’s license are required, with on-the-road training provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years in telecommunications or low-voltage construction.
• 6 months fiber splicing experience.
• Familiarity with fiber optic cable types and color codes.
• Exposure to fiber testing using OTDRs.
• 1+ year in commercial facilities or data centers.
• 1+ year experience with cable tray, ladder rack, raceway, Unistrut, or similar supports.
• 1+ year using basic fiber optic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber splicing under supervision and training.
• Assist with termination, panel installation, and splice enclosure setup.
• Label, document, and organize splice data and as-built information.
• Follow safety policies and client site procedures on each project.
