Brightspeed is seeking a Fiber Service Technician-Mobile to install and repair fiber internet for consumer customers across markets. The role requires frequent travel, varying shifts, and overtime, with a focus on safe, reliable service delivery and collaboration with sales teams.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, boot camp training, and comfort with climbing, ladders, and outdoor work in all weather.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Willingness to travel domestically and frequently.
• Able to distinguish colors on facilities.
• Capable of climbing ladders and handling heavy equipment with safety.
• Complete service tech boot camp training.
• Basic MS Office skills.
• Able to work in confined spaces and outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Installing fiber based high-speed internet for consumer customers.
• Performing maintenance and repair on outside plant facilities.
• Climbing poles, digging and burying cable, entering utility access holes.
• Managing a weekly per diem for travel expenses.
• Observing safety rules and regulations.
• Assisting other technical personnel as needed.
• Supporting sales and marketing activities.
• Directing customer facing work and sales referrals.
