Job summary

Planet Fitness in Urbandale, IA seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our fitness facilities in top condition. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and inventory control across multiple locations, using mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting skills.

Travel to visit different clubs as needed. Strong problem-solving, listening, and communication abilities are required, along with a valid driver’s license and reliable work ethic.

Qualifications

• 2+ years related experience and/or training is preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Prefer experience and working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders related to repairs and upkeep of facilities, including fitness equipment and spa amenities.
• Complete work in a clean and professional manner.
• Maintain an organized inventory of routine parts and supplies.
• Complete preventative maintenance duties and record keeping.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Travel to multiple locations as necessary.
