Aerotek is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve a network of office locations. The role involves hands-on maintenance, installation of TVs and devices, furniture assembly, painting, and proactive facilities upkeep across the Northeast.

The candidate will oversee projects, plan resources, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while adapting to different time zones and urgent requests.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical systems and basic repairs in a facilities environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols for facilities operations.
• Proven background in facilities maintenance or handyman work.
• General maintenance know-how including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Install and mount TVs, cameras, and other electronic devices in office locations following safety and operational guidelines.
• Paint walls and touch up to maintain a professional office appearance, including minor fixes.
• Assemble office furniture to specifications, ensuring safe and accurate construction.
• Oversee maintenance projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and budget tracking.
• Develop project plans, allocate resources, and coordinate with stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with office management to schedule tasks based on urgency and operations.
• Provide regular updates to facilities leadership on project status and maintenance activity.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and improvements.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues, plumbing leaks, and fixture malfunctions.
• Support HVAC maintenance and coordinate with vendors for complex repairs.
• Perform minor carpentry tasks like door and trim repairs, and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Carry out general handyman duties and outdoor maintenance at office entrances and parking lots.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and local regulations.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies, inspect equipment, and coordinate with external vendors.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and prepare reports for leadership.
