Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, boiler systems and environmental controls across our locations. The Maintenance Technician ensures a safe environment for customers so they return to the road better than they came!

In this role you will perform installations, inspections, repairs and maintenance of various systems, coordinate outside contractors, and maintain inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with vocational training in general maintenance and equipment repair.
• Demonstrated ability in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work in a service-oriented environment to repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, boiler systems and environmental control systems across the location.
• Perform general repairs such as painting/caulking, patching walls, security hardware, roof repairs, pavement repairs and lighting.
• Coordinate work of outside contractors to ensure work is performed correctly and inspect for quality.
• Maintain inventory of materials, equipment and supplies and supervise porters/housekeeping staff as needed.
