Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, boiler systems and environmental control systems across our locations. The role focuses on safety and reliability to keep travelers on the road.

You will coordinate with outside contractors, maintain inventory, and perform general repairs such as painting, roofing, flooring and lighting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with vocational maintenance training required.
• Demonstrated ability in general maintenance or similar duties.
• Operates machinery and equipment including tow motors and basic tools.
• HVAC/electrical/plumbing certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, inspections, repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment and boiler systems.
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure reliable operations across the location.
• Coordinate work with outside contractors and manage inventory of materials.
• Perform general repairs such as painting, roofing, flooring and lighting.
• Inspect, assign and review work for porters and housekeeping staff.
