Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our telecom construction crew. Projects span Arizona, Nevada, and surrounding states with rotations every four weeks. Responsibilities include operating a CAT 308, excavating around utilities, and assisting with conduit/cable installation.

Requirements include 5+ years of excavator experience, safety-focused practices, and a valid driver's license. Travel and rotation are expected as part of this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years excavator experience in civil construction or related industry.
• Experience with fiber optic or underground utilities is a strong asset.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret utility locates.
• Strong safe digging practices and job site safety standards.
• Valid driver's license and physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CAT 308 mini excavator safely for civil earthwork.
• Excavate around utilities following locate procedures.
• Place soil/aggregate in lifts for compaction.
• Support conduit placement and cable installation.
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance.
• Assist crew as needed and maintain clear communication.
• Work with team to meet daily project goals.
