Job summary

PDS Health is hiring a Dental Assistant to support clinicians in delivering the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and to build a Patients for Life approach. You will assist with patient preparation, radiographs, tray setups, and contamination control while maintaining a cheerful, compliant environment.

Responsibilities include intra-oral imaging, instrument sterilization, and coordination with orthodontists and front desk staff.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED, and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration.
• Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: As mandated by applicable state.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance; travel to multiple offices per day.
• One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions per state’s Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Participate in PPE to keep patients focused on optimal treatment.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Communicate with front/back office to ensure schedules run smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and disinfect instruments.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist for efficient care.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and manage supply levels in each operatory.
• Record patient charting and clinician notes in the digital chart.
