Job summary

EC Electric is seeking a Traveling Project Director to lead a business unit responsible for P&L and safe, high‑quality electrical construction across multiple states. You will manage Senior and Project Managers, coordinate with Estimating, and drive profitability while maintaining the company’s safety standards.

This full‑time role requires 60–80% travel, strong leadership, and proven experience in large projects.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Construction Engineering and Management required.
• 15+ years of electrical construction experience preferred.
• PMP certification preferred; OSHA 30 required.
• State electrical licensing required.
• Willingness to travel 60–80%.

Responsibilities

• Lead a business unit to meet financial targets and quality standards across multiple projects.
• Develop and mentor project management staff; manage workload and client development skills.
• Ensure client relations, safety, quality, and profitability are maintained with contractors and vendors.
• Act as SME for client design scope and EC Electric standards.
• Stay ahead of market trends in data centers, advanced technology, and related systems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and drive project pre-con, start-up, and close-out activities.
