Job summary

Intermountain Electronics is seeking a Traveling - Field Service Technician (Electrical) for the Western Region. The role demands extensive travel (about 80%), performing deployment inspections, start-up, preventive maintenance, and warranty service for IE equipment at customer sites.

The position reports to the Regional Service Manager and involves on-site support, documentation, and safety adherence while delivering effective technical assistance across North America.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Mechanical/Commissioning background with 3+ years' experience.
• 1-2 years of business and contracting experience with suppliers/subcontractors.
• Journeyman Electrician/HVAC/Commissioning certification or license.
• Willingness to travel extensively and relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and test field equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical/controls malfunctions and warranty issues.
• Perform assembly/modifications and quality defect resolution on IE products.
• Travel to customer sites, support areas nationwide, and occasionally overseas.
• Complete inspections with managers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure quality.
• Maintain documentation for work performed and create professional service reports.
• Respond to client communications promptly and professionally.
• Maintain IE tools, equipment, and vehicles; complete inventory and reports.
• Adhere to safety regulations and IE Cardinal Safety Rules.
