Job summary

Intermountain Electronics (IE) is seeking a Field Service Technician (Electrical) to join our Eastern Region team, based remotely in Pittsburgh, PA. You will install, repair, and test power distribution equipment at customer sites, following IE procedures and safety rules.

You will travel as needed, support commissioning and warranty work, document service reports, and collaborate with engineers, PMs, and subcontractors to deliver reliable solutions for critical power systems.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Mechanical/Commissioning or Assembly background with 3+ years' experience and at least three years of field experience.
• 1-2 years of business and contracting experience with subcontractors.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals, purchase orders, and project part specifications.
• Ability to write reports and professional correspondence; communicate effectively.
• Strong PC skills; proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and test field equipment according to customer specifications and IE procedures.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical/controls equipment malfunctions; replace faulty components and troubleshoot software issues.
• Travel to support areas nationwide and possibly overseas; conduct QA/QC with IE teams.
• Prepare service reports detailing problem, steps taken, and parts used.
• Maintain IE tools, equipment, and vehicles; ensure safety standards and documentation.
